Hotels for everyone
Surely you have ever heard that "accessible hotel" and possibly it seems somewhat redundant even, however, that phrase has an increasingly relevant importance in the hotel world and in the world in general.
Accessible hotels are not those that simply have good access to reception, elevators and a convenient parking, but are accessible hotels for people with disabilities, which is not so evident today, unfortunately.
More and more, hotel chains are working to make our spaces suitable for everyone, absolutely everything, because having a vision deficit or a wheelchair should not be an impediment when discovering new places.
But what exactly makes a hotel accessible? Well, from ILUNION Hotels we will tell you.
Inclusion
When you think of a disability, it probably does not come to mind what that word really implies, an accessible hotel must be prepared to be comfortable for people who have a mobility deficit (a wheelchair, a titanium hip, blindness ...) up to an intellectual deficit.
For this to be possible, hotels must comply with the legal requirements imposed by the Hotel Regulations of each Autonomous Community, which contemplate various obligations such as having a minimum of rooms adapted to the needs of people with disabilities.
At ILUNION Hotels we believe in a future in which people do not have to think about whether a hotel is ready for their condition, because they already are and we are the only hotel chain in Spain certified 100% in Universal Accessibility.
This work is carried out in a meticulous and specific way in each of our hotels, we have to go through it, see its weak points and improve them. A design adapted to all is the design we are committed to.
But what does all this really mean? Now we explain it to you ...
Our services
For a hotel to be considered truly accessible, many things must be taken into account that, perhaps, not all of us go through our heads at first, but at ILUNION we always go one step further so that we do not nothing happens.
Some of the things we have in our hotels are the following:
In the rooms there are individual articulated beds, telephone adapted for people with hearing and visual disabilities or automatic curtains with accessible keypad.
At the time of going to the bathroom there are inclined mirrors for people in wheelchairs, amenities in Braille, chair and support bars adjustable in height and removable or an automatic lifting shower curtain.
But we have not only focused on private rooms, in our bars and restaurants you will find marked food, information in Braille and reserved accessible points. The hotels in our chain have wide accessible spaces, as well as, very importantly, the counters.
As for recreational areas and parking, we have parking for the disabled and all the amenities to enjoy swimming pools and common areas, which are prepared with different levels and ramps so that access is fully functional for everyone.
Once you are aware of this, you will not be able to stop thinking about it and you will appreciate that a hotel is fully accessible, because when we reach all users effectively, the happiness of the traveler grows and, this, is the eternal relationship between the company and the client, since that happiness is what will also make us continue to grow and, of course, continue to improve as much as we can.
